Shannon Jackson is the Director of Operations for Independent Home Caregivers.  Shannon has over 15 years of management experience with supported living services.  She has worked as a consultant for new agencies, giving them the tools that they need to be successful.  She has also provided Quality Assurance services to existing homecare agencies, ensuring that they are providing the best services possible.

Shannon understands the needs and concerns of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. She has not only been the service provider but also, the family member. Her sister, Megan, is the reason she dedicated her life to working with individuals with disabilities. Megan was born with multiple developmental disabilities and also receives homecare services. Shannon knows the importance of outstanding services and what it truly means to a family. She is a great asset to IHC and will continue to make positive difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Independent Home Caregivers was developed because of the need for quality services that focus not on what the individual can provide the agency, but what IHC can provide for the individual. IHC does not make promises that we are not capable of providing. IHC will not grow too fast, too quickly. We will focus on the quality of services instead of the quantity of individuals we serve.

IHC doesn't just make promises, we keep our promises by providing the most reliable services possible.  IHC has management and policies in place to make sure our services run smoothly and we have quality assurance regulations and ongoing staff support training. IHC believes that well trained, well-paid staff, are productive staff. We only hire employees that have a desire to work with people with disabilities. At IHC, it our goal to support individuals so that they can gain independence through opportunities and possibilities. Our values are instilled in our staff from day one; our mission is to assist each individual in their personal goals of independence.

At IHC, we focus on family. We support positive family relationships for each individual’s family and also, think of ourselves as part of their family of support. When families are part of the individuals support team, we encourage them to be a natural support system and as involved as possible in the individuals life. We want to nurture and encourage the individuals we support with patience, love and respect. After growing up with a sister with developmental disabilities, I personally understand the importance of being a trustworthy, reliable agency. IHC is dedicated to gaining that trust and keeping that trust by providing exceptional services.

At IHC we have established a support system that we feel is incomparable. IHC will provide the services that we are committed to; we will provide trained staff with the individual’s success always in mind.
